With all the disruptions of Covid last year and the cancellation of the NZ Oceania Team in October I made the decision to switch gears into an off season to make improvements and grow.

Bodybuilding is a sport that takes time, consistency and most of all patience so time off the stage is where the improvements are made.

This has now come to an end with my first competition of 2022 fast approaching at the end of July.

I have some unfinished business after the disappointment of being selected for the Oceania Team only to be unable to go due to the covid outbreak in Australia causing the cancellation.

My goal now is to compete in July and qualify for Nationals in September where an Oceania Team will be chosen again to compete in Australia in October.

I’m very excited to switch back to competition mode and peel back the “layers” of my off season.

This means getting back to a more structured diet and a change in my Horleys supplements. I love how Horleys have products that cater for all stages/phases from Maintenance to competition. Thanks Horleys!! ????

The thing I love most about the sport of bodybuilding is the only real competition is “yourself”. The people are amazing ,everyone supports and encourages each other because we are all on our own journey and all have our own story.

This will be my third year in the sport. Here’s a picture from my first competition in 2019 at 44yrs old (after 3 children) and from my last show in June 2021 aged 46yrs. It just proves anything is possible with consistency, patience and on point nutrition!

If I can get on the stage this year and present a better “package” or physique than last June then I have already won in my mind.

It’s me against me……and I’m coming to beat her!!
